What is Temcoat™ 3000 Wax-Based Anti-Rust Coating from Bellis Australia?

Temcoat™ 3000 wax-based anti-rust coating is a high-temperature microcrystalline anti-corrosion compound that works well with a temperature range of 0°F to 230°F in both above and below ground situations, as well as underwater metal surfaces. Temcoat™ 3000 can be used as a coating with a wrapper or as a primer for Wax-Tape® #1 Anticorrosion Wrap.

The paste-like consistency of the wax-based anti-rust coating makes it an excellent void-filling material applicable to straight pipes, irregular fittings, and flat surfaces. Compared to other anticorrosion wraps where surface blasting is needed to remove all traces of coating and rust, Temcoat™ 3000 requires proper wire brushing and surface wiping.

Temcoat™ 3000 is hydrophobic, meaning the primer will displace the moisture and bond to the pipe's surface. Hence the surface does not need to be dry prior to the application of Temcoat™ 3000. The wax-based anti-rust coating ensures superior adhesion while providing the optimum protection needed to avoid corrosion under insulation.
