Makmax Australia provided the Nudgee College Marquee, which is an architecturally unique shade that has an inverted cone structure. This is part of the redevelopment project of the Brisbane private school's boarding houses.

The architect wanted the courtyard space in the Nudgee College Boarding Houses that can provide a sense of psychological and physical separation from the day school. This called for the unique funnel-like-shaped membrane shade structure from MakMax Australia.

The bale ring on the structure provided easy access for maintenance yet it is inaccessible to the students. The marquee canopy used was a Mehler FR900 'N' PVC fabric with a PVDF coating, which offers good UV resistance. This lightweight fabric also has a dirt-resistant surface and can optimise natural lighting.

Aside from being functional, the Nudgee College Marquee is also aesthetically pleasing and affords the courtyard an interesting and easily distinguishable focal point.
