Royal Randwick Loading Dock by Makmax Australia

After installing the canopies for The Royal Randwick Racecourse, Makmax Australia was approached to create a canopy for the Royal Randwick Loading Dock, too. The HDPE shade canopy's main purpose is to hide the loading dock from the view of the new grandstand. It needed to be fixed onto an existing concrete structure as the loading dock area is between 2 buildings.

Approximately 20 x 20 square, the hand-made HDPE mesh fabric panel for the canopy was fabricated at Makmax Australia's Brisbane facility. The Australian Turf Club requested a logo, 4m x 4m in size, to be affixed to the top side of the 350m2 HDPE shade canopy.

HDPE Canopy - Commercial Heavy 430 FR

The canopy was made from Commercial Heavy 430 FR in the colour Navy Blue while the ATC logo was made with the same fabric in the colour Desert Sand. A plotter was used to cut the logo shape, and then it was carefully aligned and stitched onto the centre of the navy blue panels.
