Projex - Wolfin Waterproofing at elegant Parsley Bay

Alexander Tzannes, architects, designed a superb new house incorporating an 1880s boatshed and extensive land right alongside Sydney's Parsley Bay. The house has been built to take advantage of the Parsley Bay frontage without overpowering it in any way. Because of the proximity to the water and the elegant finishes the builders and architects were concerned that the structure should be completely waterproof.

Accordingly the Wolfin System was specified for the major waterproofing components of the house. Wolfin as installed on the roofdeck, water features, boat-shed roof and all the balconies. On the roof insulation boards were fitted on top of the membrane. Because of the proximity to the water Wolfin's Stainless Steel profile system was used rather than the normal Wolfin galvanised steel.

The building work was carried out by Infinity Constructions who have extensive experience in building harbourfront houses. Infinity have used the Wolfin System on a number of projects to date.

The new timber roof was waterproofed using Wolfin S self-adhesive membrane as were the new timber box gutters. The concrete roofed garage adjacent to the pool and the planter boxes were waterproofed with Cosmofin, Wolfin's budget system.

The Wolfin installation was as always carried out by experienced licensed Wolfin Applicators so that Wolfin themselves were able to issue a combined labour and materials warranty on the waterproofing - as opposed to the usual separate labour and materials warranties.
