If you use Solar Gard window films you need to know important instructions for them to have a longer life. Care and maintenance for window films start with the dry-out time. Once the film is installed you need to wait a minimum of 48 hours before you can open and close your windows. The time will depend on the weather in your conditions, with dry-out time shortening for direct sunlight exposure and warm weather.

It's important that you don't clean your window film 30 days after it has been installed. Once you are over those days, you can start cleaning your window film with chamois or a soft, damp cloth.
