The Project:

Sefton, a small residential suburb in Sydney's inner-west, is one of the stops on inner west railway line of the Sydney CityRail network. Clustered around the train station are fruit shops, pharmacies, leisure stores and several residential apartment blocks.

Requirements:

The client had a number of special requirements for this high traffic public site:

1. Longevity - because such a high-traffic environment would lead to costly and disruptive re-application.
2. The look of the historic site had to be maintained.
3. With thousands of people using the station, slip resistance could not be compromised.
4. Sealed surfaces should be easier to maintain and clean and must withstand commercial alkaline cleaning chemicals and pressure washing.

CityRail approved STAIN-PROOF Original™ for all surfaces.

Because the specially designed sealing molecules in STAIN-PROOF™ are hundreds of times smaller than other penetrating sealers, the sealer works from inside the pores of the material and has little effect on slip resistance.

STAIN-PROOF's modified silane technology was designed for highly alkaline environments and the sealer also permanently bonds to the surface materials by chemical reaction, actually becoming part of the material. So STAIN-PROOF™ easily withstands strong alkaline commercial cleaners and pressure washing.

A 15 year performance warranty certificate can be supplied when STAIN-PROOF™ is applied by an Accredited Applicator.
