Cranes Install Concrete Retaining Walls from Preston Hire

Minicrane LC-1385 on the Regional Rail Link in VIC

Preston Hire has had three cranes on the Regional Rail Link in Victoria for the last seven months. The Regional Rail Link is a project designed to remove major bottlenecks in Victoria's rail network.

The project starts at Southern Cross station then along Sunshine with dedicated regional tracks built from West Werribee Junction to Deer Park.

Two crane models have been used on the Regional Rail Link over the span of the project, a LC-785 and a LC1385.

The cranes are used to install concrete retaining walls and noise walls across the train line from Sunshine to Tarneit. The two crawlers have been really efficient and cost effective, eliminating any expensive lifts with a franna or mobile crane.
