Custom Anodised Panels for the HOTA Green Bridge by Sapphire![]() Sapphire were proud to be specified by artist Warren Langley and architect Jess Austin for the bespoke HOTA Bridge landing. The project '40 Million Mornings' is a J-shaped landmark featuring a striking three-dimensional facade floating over Evandale Lake. It is purpose-designed to "celebrate the arrival and departure of visitors to our Home of the Arts homage to [the Gold Coast's] extensive waterways."¹ Working with the technical designer, manufacturer, and installer and successfully completed in January 2020, Sapphire supplied anodising in Matt Pistachio (M6683 AA25). The anodising effectively provides long-term protection and acts as an excellent backdrop to the surrounding lighting. ![]() The resulting cladding-turned-sculpture successfully encases the entire landing. It showcases the sunlight from the movement of water below and pays respect to the Nerang River's creation over an estimated period of 11,000 years or 40 million mornings.
