Increase Building Safety with Fire Resistant Insulation Boards from Bellis

With the increased use of hazardous plastics and synthetic materials in construction, the value of installing fire resistant insulation boards in buildings is now greater than ever. These boards play a critical role in providing a greater building safety level and promoting minimal property damage in case of a fire breakout.

Market leader, Bellis Australia is among the country's powerhouses in fireproofing insulation. Having been in the business for more than four decades, Bellis has already worked with and received positive feedback from various major capital projects, which has set their name apart as above their competition. Their highly recognised fire resistant insulation board range includes, but not limited to:

  • Pyrogel® XTF - A lightweight blanket insulation built with the lightest solid material, aerogel. Tested as per the most stringent fire-protection standards, Pyrogel® XTF provides proven fire protection of up 4 hours versus hydrocarbon-fueled accidents and up to 2 hours for jet fires.
  • FOAMGLAS® - A cellular glass insulation material that does not easily burn and will neither promote or contribute to toxic flame spread. Engineered in conformity to Australian Standard Test Method (ASTM) E84-16 for surface burning characteristics of building materials, FOAMGLAS® keeps industrial piping and equipment safe from fire damage and slows down fire spread.
  • Rockwool Stone Wool - The most popular fire resistant insulation board that is based on natural stone. Rockwool Stone Wool is built with extreme fire resistance that does not burn, melt, or release toxic gases even when in direct contact with extreme fire of up to 2,150°F (1,177°C), which is well above the heat intensity of a typical house fire.
  • Firemaster 550 Board - A fire resistant insulation board approved by Energy Safe Victoria and other interstate regulatory authorities for gas applications. Non-combustible, Firemaster 550 has a low coefficient for heat transfer, providing maximum protection to nearby combustible surfaces. It is commonly used behind kitchen splashbacks, a leading source of residential fire breakouts.
