Preston Hire Resolves Accessibility Issues at 494 Stanley St

Preston Hire was able to help Watkins Steel out of a tight spot thanks to the accessibility and lifting capacity of a Maeda MC-285C mini crane.

Watkins Steel recently engaged Preston (QLD) to assist in the refurbishment of the heritage-listed bank building at 494 Stanley Street South Brisbane. The project, which began in July 2012, is expected to take twelve months, and is headed by Kane Constructions.

The Maeda MC-285C came in handy to resolve issues with installing a 700kg flight of stairs in a very tight workspace. Preston technicians were able to use the crane to install the stairs over just two days. Thanks to its SWF of 2.82t, width of 750mm and weight of 1792kg, the Maeda MC-285C was able to successfully tackle the accessibility and lifting capacity issues that were facing the team in such a confined area.

Preston Group's fleet offers five models of mini cranes, including the Maeda MC-285C, which are delivered by Pace Cranes. Maeda mini cranes can be hired to assist with your narrow area construction needs at any of its branches in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
