Unison Joints are proud to present Morpho - a world-class line of architectural floor expansion joints, for both indoor and outdoor applications. In service for more than 16 years, the product development team of Unison Joints has achieved an innovative design for Morpho. Flat seals can only stretch, and thus become prone to premature deterioration; on the other hand, Morpho seals feature smooth ripples that allow for an opening to facilitate movement in building structures.

Structural movement is not only caused by seismic activity. Other naturally occurring factors include thermal changes and wind velocity, as well as unequal concrete settling, concrete creep and shrinkage over time. Morpho architectural floor expansion joints are designed to provide an architectural (and structural) span across the movement gap, providing multi-directional movement, to deliver excellent performance, even under demanding conditions. The primary seal of Morpho is manufactured from dual-compound TPV thermoplastic vulcanizate, with ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors for prolonged exposure to the sun. In addition, Unison Joints has equipped Morpho with waterproof features to ensure long lasting service.

One of the highlights of the Morpho design is its resistance to pathogenic elements, making it suitable for use in hospitals, laboratories, food preparation centres, cleaners rooms or wherever hygiene should be maintained. The architectural floor expansion joints are also pedestrian-safe as the system is installed flush. The surface offers seamless trafficability for hospital vehicles, maintenance equipment, trolleys, forklifts, shopping carts and other traffic loads. Unison offers accessory cove pieces in standard-size radius vinyl cove.
