Light+Building 2016: WE-EF presents urban lighting concepts

From 13 to 18 March 2016 the world's leading lighting trade fair, Light+Building, once again will open its doors in Frankfurt. Around 2,500 exhibitors will present their highlights from the field of lighting and building technology. As always, a high number of visitors are anticipated; this year, around 210,000 specialists and lighting enthusiasts are expected to attend. The trade fair will focus on current industry topics, such as trends in the lighting market, networked security, and intelligent home and building automation as well as the influence of light on people.

Because light has a strong effect on ambience and well-being, it has become an important design element in the planning of urban landscapes. In addition to orientation, safety and energy efficiency, a holistic lighting concept ideally meets the desire to create a distinct lighting atmosphere for individual locations. In doing so, light, and indeed the luminaires themselves, become design elements, both in terms of their form and the impression they create.

A focal point of WE-EF's trade fair exhibit in hall 3.0, stand A61, will be the product range for illuminating inner-city areas, such as public spaces and promenades, pedestrian zones, parks and parking zones. Luminaires that will be featured at the WE-EF exhibit demonstrate a combination of intelligent lighting technology and design - qualities valued by the panel of judges in the 'Design plus powered by Light+Building 2016' competition sponsored by Messe Frankfurt, where they recognised the quality and effectiveness of the WE-EF CFT500 series post top luminaire with 'Best of Design Plus' award.
