Three New External Window Films from Solar Gard®

A new outside weatherable (OSW) window film is opening up numerous opportunities for building owners with low-e, laminated or wired glazing on their windows and other large glass facades. Windows with these types of glazing systems have typically been unsuitable for traditional internal window film installation due either to limited internal access or because of the physical properties of the glass itself. As a result, many building owners have been unable to reap the full benefits that window film delivers such as: blocking up to 99 percent of damaging UV radiation which causes skin cancer and fading to furniture; reducing glare and hot spots that decrease office productivity; and blocking solar gain which helps reduce the need for air conditioning systems.
