Full steam ahead for R+T Australia 2014:
over 40 exhibitors, more than 50% sold

The countdown is now on for R+T Australia 2014, the country's first-ever exhibition specialising in external building systems, window furnishings and sun protection systems, which now has over 40 signed-up exhibitors - with more scheduled to come on board in the next few weeks.

R+T Australia 2014, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 21-23, will be a unique exhibition focusing purely on products and services in the roller shutters, doors/gates, windows, screens and sun protection systems market.

cfa at r+t germany The exhibition has already attracted a strong mix of Australian and international exhibitors across its target industry sectors, said Thurain Aye, exhibition manager for the event.

"Now signed up with R+T Australia are some of the leading companies in their fields, including Croci, Gfa Electromaten and FAAC - all major suppliers who can see the value to their marketing and profile in participating in this inaugural show.

"We have been delighted with the response we have seen to date for R+T Australia 2014, and this is standing us in good stead for a highly successful show in August," Aye said.

"We have well over 200 expressions of interest in the show, and have already allocated more than 50% of our gross floor space.

"Over the next few months, we will be completing the R+T Australia 2014 exhibitor line up, and also rolling out our seminar and educational program, to be run in conjunction with the exhibition.

"These elements will help ensure that R+T Australia 2014 is a must-attend event for anyone in the external building, window furnishings and sun protection systems sector," said Aye.

Some of the key exhibitors signed up for R+T Australia 2014 to date include:

Buz Software (Australia): This Australian-based developer and supplier of CRM systems for the window furnishings, awnings and security screens market offers innovative cloud-based solutions for retailers and wholesalers in this market sector.

Carrot Industrial (Taiwan): This company offers a wide range of affordable Taiwanese and Chinese-manufactured products, including blinds, doors, shades, related materials, skylights, and external crank bistro system, as well as motors and control systems.

Croci (Australia): Part of the global Croci International Group, headquartered in Italy, this company is the largest window shutter profile and accessories manufacturer in Australia, offering a full range of rolling shutters, profiles, pelmets, motor systems, awnings and roller screen systems.

FAAC (Australia): The world's largest specialised manufacturer of automated gate operating equipment for residential, commercial and industrial applications, with product groups including automation systems for screen and roller shutters, garage doors, swing and sliding glass doors, traffic barriers, rising bollards, parking systems and access control.

Freedom Retractable Screens (Australia): This Australian-based supplier is an industry leader of retractable insect screens, including screen systems for french, bi-fold and sliding stacker doors and windows, as well as pillarless corners and large, difficult-to-screen openings.

GfA ELEKTROMATEN (Australia): A globally recognised leader in the doors, gates and automation sector, GfA Elektromaten offers a wide range of drive and control systems for industrial doors, all built to the highest German engineering standards - allowing the company to guarantee the quality of its products. Headquartered in Germany, its Australian arm is a member of the Australian Garage Doors Association (AGDA).

Julius Koch (Germany): This specialised German producer of technical textiles for blinds will be using R+T Australia to meet with clients and potential clients, with the aim of identifying new opportunities in Australia.

"The quality of our exhibitors - both large and small - and the fact that a number of them are the leading suppliers for this industry globally and in Australia, bodes very well for a successful show," said Aye.

"Unlike traditional building exhibitions, which attempt to cater for the very broad building market, R+T Australia 2014 is very focused on what is an increasingly important market niche as architects, designers, specifiers, owners and builders look to develop sustainable long-term solutions to the industry's challenges and demands.

"Visitors to R+T Australia will be looking for products that address the challenges and opportunities they are facing - and exhibitors at this event will be in a prime position to take advantage of our targeting visitor profile," he said.

R+T Australia 2014 is a "spin-off" event of R+T in Stuttgart, Germany, regarded as the world's leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors, gates, and sun protection systems across industrial, commercial and residential applications - and which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2015.

There have also been highly successful spin-off events in Shanghai, and Istanbul.
