Smartech featuring latest folding facade screen at R+T Australia

R+T Australia 2014 exhibitor Smartech Door Systems will highlight its recently Folding Facade Screen, designed to complement the latest green building designs, while offering the flexibility to handle differing building envelopes.

"This concept lets designers to integrate the screen with the building design, allowing windows to be viewed externally when the screens are open, and to view them as facades when closed for sun screening and climate protection," says Anthony Cassar, Business Development Manager with Smartech Door Sytems.

The screens are designed and manufactured to handle the demands of an outside environment, incorporating durable aluminium frames and tracks, and a compact German twin drive motor system with stainless steel architectural screws and fittings.

"These screens are completely weatherproof," says Anthony. "They are suitable for a wide range of different applications where moveable screens and facades are required, including as sunscreen facades, garden screens for exterior courtyards and hard surface awnings.

"They are available in both a folding version and a one-piece screen that be raised vertically." Anthony says R+T Australia would be an important event for the company.

"R+T Australia will provide us with an ideal environment to meet and discuss the requirements of the industry, especially with architects, designers and specifiers, allowing us to understand where they are headed and further tailor our product line to meet demand."
