Light+Building 2016: Innovative Developments in Urban Lighting

we-ef

Increasing numbers of ever-smaller towns and municipalities are discovering the possibilities of lighting for themselves. As a result of rising energy costs, existing systems and installations are being critically reassessed and the competition is shifting from a quantitative "more, more, more" approach to more intelligent, high-quality lighting concepts. WE-EF will demonstrate how these concepts could look and what lighting instruments can be used to implement them at its stand at Light+Building 2016.

The new VLR100 series, for example, offers a finely co-ordinated range of luminaires for implementing linear lighting, both efficiently and artistically. The spectrum of available light distribution options ranges from uniform wall lighting to the sophisticated illumination of complex façade geometries through to the creation of special solutions for specific projects.

Lighting tools that can be configured to set specific scenes are used to meet the often very specific requirements for the illumination of buildings and façades, statues and sculptures. For example, with this approach an evenly lit square in the daytime assumes a certain ambience at night. The new WE-EF FLC200 high-performance projectors can be used to illuminate objects, even across very large distances, with precision and intensity.

Last but not least, the ZFT400 series offers new post top luminaires with various distribution characteristics. The LED light from these luminaires accentuates without glare, allowing light to be choreographed in an unobtrusive manner.
