Australia's original design and architecture event is back in Sydney and we've got a new view on the design experience!

You'll see a lot of new elements at this year's designEX, from new collaborative features, new acclaimed speakers, new design showcases and of course, our new home at Glebe Island. To start, we've introduced an entrance experience, designed by Studio Design UK, who've produced installations and events for London Design Festival, DeBeers and BMW to name a few, and we've got more to come so watch this space...

What's New Onsite
To welcome you to designEX's new home, we've introduced a new entrance experience created by Studio Design UK. This three dimensional, tactile environment will incorporates light and texture and make sure your experience starts even before you enter the event.

Don't miss WORKOPOLIS, an exploration of physical and cognitive space in our borderless 24/7 society designed by futurespace.

The 2014 programme kicks off with our headline speaker, Lidewij Edelkoort who has continued to drive innovation in design over the course of her illustrious career.

Across our three day speaker series discover new trends and insights through workshops and keynotes - find the inspiration and learn the tools to take your practice in architecture and design to the next level in our speaker series.

We're excited to announce some new faces in the NEST 14 line-up, our platform for showcasing burgeoning independent design talent. Joining our NEST 14 ranks for the first time this year are Alexander Kashin & Andrew Southwood-Jones, Asher Abergel, Arthur Koutoulas who will present their designs alongside NEST 14 contributors Jonathan Ingram & Doris Ko, Kiri Hughes & Ben Wahlrich, Nicholas Karlovasitis & Sarah Gibson of DesignByThem and Chris Hardy.
