Gimballed optical systems offer maximum freedom in aiming light in any desired direction, even with surface mounted exterior downlights. With a fixed luminaire location, for example, and a lighting task that changes over time, a gimbal system allows for adaption of the new requirements. In the DAC240-GB LED downlight, the gimbal permits increment-free aiming of 355° horizontally and 30° vertically. Once aimed, the system is fixed by clicking it into place for a reliable yet reversible fitting.

The gimballed DAC240 rounds off WE-EF's DAC200 series of exterior downlights - a series that offers lighting designers great flexibility with its five different beam distributions: symmetric wide [B], medium [M] and narrow beam [EE] as well as narrow beam 'sharp cut-off' [EES] and wallwash optics [A20]. The DAC200 series has a system wattage of 18 W and standard colour temperature of 3000 K (warm white), with 4000 K (neutral white) available on request.
