Award Winning LED Post-Top Luminaire from WE-EF

The Design Plus competition represents cutting edge innovations of the exhibitors at Light +Building. The CFT500 from WE-EF received the 'Best of' prize and was the only exterior luminaire to receive this.

CFT500 shines at the international design competition
'Design Plus powered by Light + Building 2016'

The Design Plus competition, sponsored by Messe Frankfurt and organised by the German Design Council, represents cutting edge innovations of the exhibitors at Light + Building while highlighting their sustainability and ease of application. The judges were impressed with the product concept of the CFT500 and awarded the LED post-top luminaire a 'Best of Design Plus' prize. The award is considered to be a seal of quality for products that combine forward-thinking, innovative design with energy-efficient technology.

WE-EF and product designer Petra Denst are delighted with this product's third consecutive award. The CFT500, the design of which would not have been possible without LED technology, has previously been awarded the Red Dot quality seal and a 'Focus Silver' prize for the International Design Award from the Design Center Baden-Württemberg.

Based on the criteria of technology, ecology and design, this year's international and independent Design Plus expert panel awarded 25 products the Design Plus prize, with four receiving the 'Best of' prize - including the CFT500 from WE-EF as the only exterior luminaire. This year's competition saw 129 companies from 25 countries part, entering a total of 214 products.
