NASH presents Steel Frame Solutions - the biggest steel frame and truss manufacturer

Steel Frame Solutions is poised to ride the regional housing boom, driven by the huge expansion in mining activity in South Australia's far north. The company, the biggest steel frame and truss producer in Australia, has recently completed 31 houses in Roxby Downs alone and is targeting growth in other northern cities.

"We have set a challenging target of increasing our production by 50% over the next two years," said State Manager Gary Scott. "We see massive potential in the regional areas of South Australia, particularly Pt Augusta, Whyalla, Roxby Downs and Broken Hill."

To lead the charge, Steel Frame Solutions has hired former long-term Mitsubishi employee Vince Mortgante as its new Production Manager.
"Vince brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, forged over 16 years at Mitsubishi Motors," Mr Scott said. "Most importantly he comes from a culture of having to deliver production capabilities efficiently."

Vince spent the last 8 of his 16 years at the car manufacturer as a Section Manager and remained with Mitsubishi until the plant shut down earlier this year.
"I will always treasure my time at Mitsubishi, but joining Steel Frame Solutions is the start of a wonderful and challenging new journey," Mr Morgante said. "My experience at Mitsubishi puts me in good stead to deliver benchmarks in lean manufacturing and that can only assist the growth of Steel Frame Solutions."

Steel Frame Solution is among a number of SA manufacturers to target former Mitsubishi staff as they seek to capitalise on the boom in the mining and defence sectors. Steel Frame Solutions is a member of the National Association of Steel-Framed Housing Inc., (NASH).
