When it comes to floor coatings there is a distinct move away from traditional, three-coat polyurethane systems. There are many reasons for this. One concern is the habit of polyurethane finishes to go yellowy-orange on all timbers. Another is that younger and more oily timbers are producing rejection or curing issues for these coatings at an alarming rate these days. Synteko Classic is the answer. Unlike the polymer "plastic-on-floor" recipe for polyurethane finishes, Synteko Classic is a fast-drying, two-component, acid-curing resin-based finish. It enhances natural wood colours and produces an extremely durable, long lasting beautiful finish. This translates to, not a thick coating, but an extremely hard coating which won't edge-bond where excessive expansion occurs. Nor is it prone to rejection from timber contaminants as are many polyurethanes.
