The Australian Trellis Door Company's (ATDC) double diamond trellis door has proved a major success in solving a sensitive security issue at Sydney's Marriott Hotel.

The hotel's high pressure water valves and water hydrants, which feed water into their fire sprinkler systems, required protection from public access. One of the problems was these valves are located in a narrow corridor and so conventional gates would simply not work as there was insufficient space to hinge them.

The double diamond door, being a retractable concertina door, solved this problem. The doors by their nature fold sideways and occupy minimal side room. The narrow gaps between the steel mesh in these doors prevent the public from putting their hands through to reach the water valves.

The doors are also suitable in securing stock in businesses since it is very difficult to move the stock through the narrow gaps in these doors e.g. securing bottles of alcohol in liquor stores or wine racks

The double diamond doors are constructed from steel, are galvanized against corrosion and powder coated in a gloss enamel finish giving the doors a very modern and professional look.
