Operable Acoustic Walls for Flexible Offices by Bildspec.

CrowdStrike's North Sydney workplace required a meeting area that could support collaboration while adapting to changing team needs. Working with Executive Interior Projects and architect and designer Facilitate, Bildspec developed a customised operable wall system that maximised the available space without compromising acoustic separation.

The installation features a remote-stacking movable wall with a DDA-compliant glazed, jamb-hung pass door. A custom 135-degree meeting post allowed the wall to follow the geometry of the room, helping create a more efficient enclosure and preserving the intended layout. The glazed access door also supports convenient movement between spaces while contributing to an inclusive workplace design.

Operable acoustic walls allow larger areas to open up for collaborative work or close to form more private meeting rooms and workspaces. This flexibility supports offices where layouts need to respond to different activities throughout the day, while acoustic panels help limit sound transfer between adjoining areas.
