Wet Area Substrates for Practical Waterproofing by Marmox Australia

Wet Area Substrates for Practical Waterproofing by Marmox Australia.

Marmox Australia offers a coordinated range of waterproof, lightweight and tile-ready substrates for bathrooms, showers, balconies and other moisture-exposed areas. The system includes Multiboards, shower trays, sloping boards, niches and installation accessories, allowing product selection to be matched to the wet area application.

Marmox Multiboards are suitable for creating waterproof substrates on walls, floors, ceilings, benches and custom bathroom features. Their insulated construction can also assist with thermal performance, while the reinforced surface provides a suitable base for subsequent tiling and finishes.

For shower floors, Marmox Shower Trays provide a pre-formed base designed to direct water towards the waste outlet. They are intended to simplify shower construction by combining a lightweight waterproof substrate with a consistent factory-formed fall beneath the tiled finish.

Where a controlled gradient is required across a larger area, Marmox Sloping Boards can be used to create accurate falls in tiled showers, balconies and similar wet areas. Selecting a pre-formed sloping substrate can help reduce on-site forming requirements and support more consistent drainage detailing.

Marmox Niches provide waterproof, tile-ready recessed storage within shower and wet area walls. Marmox also supplies accessories including tapes, sealants, adhesives and installation products for completing joints, corners, penetrations and other system details.

For practical product selection, use Multiboards for general waterproof wall and floor substrates, Shower Trays for formed shower bases, Sloping Boards for designed falls, and Niches for integrated wall storage. Always check dimensions, substrate conditions, drainage requirements and project installation details before specifying the system.
