Bildspec Operable Walls was recently chosen by builder, Scope Projects to install their Konnect double-glazed moveable acoustic wall panels at Shore Financial's new office fit-out in North Sydney. Konnect acoustic moving walls combine the elegance of glass with the reliability of a Bildspec Operable Wall.

Used as a glass office partition to separate side-by-side boardrooms, as well as these same boardrooms from the adjacent common working area, these moveable acoustic wall panels allow for see-through connection of all three spaces with acoustic reduction properties. These user-friendly, glass acoustic moving walls allow Shore Financial greater flexibility by being able to increase or reduce the size of their board rooms at will, or the ability to combine them with the office area to create a larger multipurpose break out space when required.

Apart from creating a flexible space, these acoustic glass office partitions greatly reduce the amount of external noise from passing through the wall and into each of the divided spaces. This reduction of sound is measured in Rw (weighted sound reduction index). Different combinations of top/bottom seals and board constructions are crucial in the wall's ability to overcome sound transmission issues. These operable walls recently achieved a 48Rw acoustic rating when tested for their acoustic performance at the CSIRO's acoustic testing facilities in Clayton, Victoria.
