International safety flooring products manufacturer, Altro, has heralded a broader role for its Australian operation, with the recent announcement that its growing Asia-Pacific market will be serviced from the company's local head office in Melbourne.

Altro has supplied products to the Australian market for 15 years through Australian Safety Flooring (ASF), which it subsequently acquired. The company has recently embarked on an ambitious growth strategy which sees the local operation, which has been renamed to capitalise on the parent company's name, will be known as Altro APAC.

Commenting on the developments, Robert McLachlan, CEO of Altro APAC said "the Group is committed to moving strongly into the Asia-Pacific market, strengthening and supporting our existing Asian-based operations through our Australian base. This is bringing additional technical resources that will also benefit our Australian customers.
