uPVC double-glazed doors are engineered using the latest glass technology, with a warm-edge insulating glass sealant system installed between the glass panels. Wilkins Windows uses Low-E Glass Technology, a process in which the glasses are coated with microscopically thin and optically transparent metal layers. The transparent and ultimately thin layers prevent the penetration of harmful UV rays while letting the right amount of light to pass through the insulated panels.

For optimum thermal efficiency, Wilkins Windows incorporates the use of argon gas with Low-E Glass Technology. Argon gas envelopes the two glass panels to enhance thermal plus acoustic performance of the double-glazed doors.

Aside from the energy efficiency benefits, uPVC double-glazed doors boast a longer lifetime value; it will not blister and chip, nor will fade even after years of direct sun exposure. Custom uPVC doors are also maintained with minimal upkeep; they are easily cleaned with just warm, soapy water and a clean cloth.
