Acoustic Timber Ceiling and Wall Systems for Public Spaces by SUPAWOOD Hyphen – Wodonga Library Gallery stands as a major cultural addition to the Wodonga community, delivering a contemporary space for learning, exhibitions and public engagement. Designed by JWP Architects, the project brings together library services, galleries and meeting areas within a highly considered interior environment. Supawood supplied a combination of WAFFLE BLADE and SUPASLAT systems, contributing to both the visual identity and acoustic performance of the space. Spanning over one kilometre of blades and more than 150m2 of SUPASLAT, all elements were finished in Blackbutt SUPAFINISH, creating a warm, cohesive interior. The systems were custom shaped to suit the architectural layout, integrating access hatches and building services without disrupting the design intent. Fire retardant MDF substrates were used to meet compliance requirements for public buildings, supporting Fire Group classifications across interior applications. The result is a refined, high-performing interior that balances aesthetics, acoustics and compliance within a prominent civic space.
