Interior Timber Ceiling Featuring WAVE BLADES by SUPAWOOD

SUPAWOOD WAVE BLADES timber decorative ceiling features have been installed beautifully in the student hub and other key areas of the Macquarie University International College (MUIC) in NSW. Gardner Wetherill Associates were given the task of designing a warm and welcoming environment where students could feel safe and comfortable while they study. They were further asked by the university to reinvigorate 10 Macquarie Walk into a modern learning centre for international students.

WAVE BLADES, SUPASLAT, and MAXI BEAM by SUPAWOOD provided the ability to be customised and resulting visual impact. Built by Prime Projects NSW, the college now enjoys defined spaces and a dynamic learning environment.

In the Independent Learning Centre (ILC), WAVE BLADES were used to accentuate ceilings and walls. The reading area is defined by a large oval ceiling containing custom WAVE BLADES with integrated lighting. Meanwhile, seating spaces below are partitioned by bookcases featuring soft, curved WAVE BLADES tops and sides with grooved edging.
