Taking into consideration the requirements of occupants, our floor heating system designs are calculated on the rate of heat loss for the building. For new insulated homes where floor heating is nominated as the primary source, design parameters are typically between 60-90W per square metre.

Our electric heating product range, installed above the slab, warms the floor within 30 minutes from start-up. The quick response time allows for zone heating with thermostatic control, allowing individual on/off, time and temperature control for zones at different times of day. Despite low design parameters as compared to slab/screed heating, Amuheat' electric floor heating systems warm the floor quickly on duty cycles with floor temperature levels between 25-28 degrees Celsius using on average a 1/3 of the energy.

Economical hydronic underfloor heating systems are ones whose energy source is gas, solar or geothermal heat pumps. Multi zoned hydronic floor heating systems offer occupants flexible usage, with a set back setting for each thermostat controlled zone. Correctly designed heating systems offer a quick response time from set back, within an hour, as compared to electric slab heating. An important, often over looked, feature is the ability for this system to operate on a variety of energy sources, allowing occupants to easily switch between electric, gas or solar boiler or storage units in later years, making hydronic future proof by not relying on a single energy source as with electric floor heating.

Central to the economic use of all Amuheat' systems is the floor heating thermostats. More than just on and off, the programmable unit offers programs which can be modified to suit the occupants living patterns. Programs allow for control of either air, floor, or both air and floor temperatures, over 4 program periods per day to regulate comfort levels for each zone. Key features include manual overrides, built in backlight, large LCD display and battery backup to store pre-programmed settings in the event of a power drop.
