Window Film Advice for Home Owners from WFAANZ

New videos offer window film advice to home owners

The Window Film Association of Australia and New Zealand (WFAANZ) has released two short videos to help home owners get the most from their window film. The first, Window Film - more than meets the eye, explains the benefits and types of films available and the second, Preparing for your window film, lists the things to consider once the decision to install film has been made.

Ally Cronan, WFAANZ President, comments, "With a clear understanding of the many uses and applications of modern films, home owners can make an informed decision on the best products for their specific needs. The right film can positively contribute to a building's energy rating and in doing so increase its value, so getting it right is important. The new WFAANZ videos have been produced to minimise the guess-work and leg-work, to make the entire installation process easier and more effective."

Renovators researching ways to save energy, improve comfort, minimise glare and UV, reduce fading or bolster security and safety will invariably come to learn about window film. It's the preferred option for the environmentally conscious who enjoy their view, yet are aware of the impact untreated windows can have on energy consumption.

WFAANZ is a non-profit industry body representing the window film industry in Australia and New Zealand. Our members abide by a strict code of practice that incorporate all relevant Australian and building standards. We work alongside the Australian Window Association in the management of the Window Energy Rating Scheme For Film, and institute an independent accreditation and training program for professional installers.
