Timeless Arched Suspension Footbridges with Ronstan

Extending over the mouth of the Kananook Creek is one of Australia's most iconic pedestrian bridges, the timeless Frankston Footbridge. The main structure representing the Seaford Foreshore Reserve, this footbridge serves as a safe mode of passage from Oliver's Hill side to the Frankston Life Saving Club. To create such a spectacular and safe overpass with timeless sentiment, tensile architecture was specified for the final Frankston Footbridge design.

Ronstan Tensile Architecture is the company responsible for the beautiful crossed arches in the completed Frankston Footbridge. The team supplied and suspended their ARS4 Carbon steel hanger bars, which are renowned as heros of the Ronstan range. ARS4 maintains the bridge deck firmly in place, with a high load strength attributed to its grade 520 minimum yield carbon steel. Lastly, it is painted with an anti-corrosive coating for lifelong protection.
