Acoustic Ceiling with Curved Panelling and Concealed Fixing for Premium School by Supawood

Numerous Supawood products were featured at the new Cranbrook School redevelopment project. An extensive undertaking that required a large scope and amount of work, the world-class design included work done in multiple areas such as the school's theatre, chapel, orchestral room, assembly hall and numerous learning spaces.

The ceiling solution for the school halls featured Supawood's SUPACOUSTIC v-slot feature ceiling. This includes a ceiling with curved panelling and concealed fixing- which allows airflow throughout the ceiling. SUPACOUSTIC slotted multi-function walls were also created for the halls, as well as matching doors- all were painted with a SUPACOLOUR finish in grey.

SUPALINE panels finished in Jarrah natural timber veneer ( a deep timber hue) were used at the entrance to the dining commons space, while a SUPACOUSTIC v-slotted pattern was used on the ceiling within the theatre space and this was coloured in Black SUPAFINISH. The panels were back-grooved for installation assistance and curving onsite.

SUPACOUSTIC v-slotted products finished in a Blackbutt natural timber veneer were used in the chapel ceiling, while the orchestral room featured a custom triangle modular panel painted with Tas Oak natural timber veneer finish- resulting in an eye-catching vertical look that also addresses the acoustic needs of the room.

For this premium project, Supawood offered a full solution that includes shaping and custom modular panelling for the orchestral room, as well as an acoustically sound system for the ceilings and walls of the school halls while still allowing airflow.
