MAXI BEAM Lightweight Beams and SUPASLAT Slatted Panels for the Leagues Club Foodcourt from Supawood

Stage 1 of the Wenty Leagues Club renovation in Sydney's west included heavy use of SUPASLAT and MAXI BEAMS by Supawood. The development's main goal was to expand the dining space to 2,850 square meters while smoothly fitting within the confines of the existing structure, notably by creating a food court dubbed The Plaza.

The Buchan design team used common lining materials and sizes to create a stylish appearance. The products must also retain a uniform finish over a large area and adhere to fire rating and VOC emission criteria. From the very beginning of the design phase, SUPAWOOD collaborated with Buchan to make sure that their idea could be practical and affordable. Every product was provided with a fire-retardant option to meet standard sizes, achieve low VOC finishes, and pass BCA requirements.

Besides helping the contractor achieve deadlines, SUPAWOOD frequently provided panel sizes on time with only a few weeks' notice. All parties involved could communicate openly, which made solving technical problems quick and easy. Supawood's creative approach to hiding the fixings behind the glass balustrade at The Plaza is one illustration of this.

During the project, complex product combinations and product profile combinations have been inventively utilised. They have been put in place to allow for access to secret services and integrated illumination.
