One of the problems that occurs in brickwork is rising damp. To prevent this from happening, you may use a dampcourse with an aluminium core from Cerra Metal Works. The Alcor is a dampcourse that features a bitumen-coated and fully-annealed pure aluminium core. The bitumen is coated on boat sides as well as the edges of the core to prevent lateral corrosion.

This dampcourse is used for blockwork and brickwork as it is impervious to moisture. It also provides a protective barrier from rising damp. What's more, Alcor is not affected by cement and lime.
