Permeable tree surrounds from StoneSet Australia Wollongong based approved installer Craig's Coastal Landscaping recently completed an order of 20m² of tree surrounds. The black finish of the '10mm Coal' matched the black design of the government building and it surrounding area. The area was originally finished with cobbles held in place with just 6mm aggregate to retain permeability, but when this failed and the cobbles began to come loose, causing trip hazards, the facilities manager turned to Craig's Coastal for a solution. Installation was quick, the 10mm Coal is made using blue metal (available from many landscape supply outlets), and all trip hazards had been eradicated within a week and of course the permeability of the area had been vastly improved as the 10mm Coal mix has a void ratio of 49% making it one of our most permeable mixes available.
