Rustic Interior Finish with Driftwood Slatted Panels from Supawood

Rustic interior finish for award winning
fit-out of multi-level lawyers' chambers.

'Connect people on a human level.' This was Gadens Lawyer's brief to the designers, HASSEL, for the fit-out of their new premium grade legal chambers in Brisbane CBD.

Gadens Lawyers dismissed the impersonal, traditional legal workplace style in favour of a finish with feel and character that conveyed maturity and confidence.

HASSELL achieved this with SUPAWOOD's unique DRIFTWOOD slatted panels which give an authentic rustic feel with its etched grained surface. This unusual aged effect provided an interesting and inviting atmosphere for staff and visitors alike.

DRIFTWOOD was used for ceilings and walls throughout the reception area and entry level, creating a distinctive and elegant feel with a rustic twist. The panelling with its maritime look provided a figurative connection between the consulting offices and the vistas of the Brisbane River below.

DRIFTWOOD was fitted in both loose slats and SUPATILE SLAT panels in both SUPAFINISH and custom stains. An acoustic feature was included to reduce noise reverberation. The SUPATILE format provided hatch access to the ceiling for maintenance work. SUPATILE 10 was also used in other areas of the fit-out.

The new fit-out covers 5 floors, some 7,000 sqm and has achieved a Green Star Office Interiors 1.1.

This project reflects the unique aesthetics of DRIFTWOOD for achieving a stylish contemporary atmosphere in a modern office environment.
