Is My Building Truly Green? From Trend Group

green building certificates

There are several certification programmes. The most widely recognised of these is the LEED system (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) of the GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL.

This system consists of a set of parameters that establish how much a building (new constructions, existing buildings, schools or small dwellings) respects the criteria of sustainability, attributing points for every important criterion.

There are other certifications that guarantee the green characteristics of individual products or which attest to the fact that the producer has implemented procedures to reduce its environmental impact.

Trend agglomerates are GREENGUARD Children & Schools certified: this means that they have no dangerous volatile organic emissions (VoC) and guarantee the quality of air of indoor environments.

How do Trend products contribute to the assignment of LEED points?

Trend's Green mosaics and agglomerates allow you to obtain the LEED points envisioned for the following criteria:

Materials and Resources: in addition to containing a high percentage of recycled post-consumption and post-industrial glass, Trend mosaics and agglomerates can be installed on pre-existing floors, thereby reducing the waste of material.

Indoor Environmental Quality: Trend mosaics and agglomerates have no dangerous volatile organic emissions (VoC) and guarantee the quality of air of indoor environments
