Timber Floor Restoration for Rotorua Museum with Polycure

Rotorua Museum is located in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand. Rotorua is known for its rich culture, volatile landscape and its dramatic history all of which are showcased in this world class museum.

The museum is housed within the iconic Bath House building, Spa Town of Rotorua, located within the Government Gardens, which was once known as a famous spa that offered therapeutic treatments to visitors from all over the globe.

Mirotone was instrumental in helping the museum restore the floors within the Chamber of Commerce Gallery and Rotorua Trust Gallery. The work was completed by Shane Dorrell of Dorrell Sports Surfaces.

The floors were sanded to 180 grit finish and coated with AQUAPRO 8068 Hitek Water based floor finish then finished with two coats of AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K floor finish in a Matt finish.
