SUPAWOOD Panels Elevate Acoustics and Aesthetics at RMIT Bundoora West Campus The refurbishment of RMIT Bundoora West Campus in Melbourne showcases the seamless integration of SUPAWOOD's SUPACOUSTIC and SUPASLAT panels, creating an environment that prioritises both functionality and design. Led by Hayball, the project tackled key challenges such as managing noise in high-traffic areas, ensuring optimal acoustics in meeting rooms, and incorporating natural materials to enhance warmth and connection. The solution? SUPAWOOD panels in Tasmanian Oak Natural Timber Veneer, installed throughout the lobby, passageways, and meeting rooms on levels 2 and 3. With a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of up to 0.95, these perforated panels significantly improved acoustic performance, enabling better communication and focus. The Tasmanian Oak veneer provided a natural finish harmonising with the campus's modern architectural style. SUPAWOOD also provided detailed shop drawings, simplifying installation and ensuring precise integration. This collaboration highlights how thoughtful design can transform educational spaces, fostering a vibrant, collaborative environment for students and staff. Project Details:
