Impact Protection Adhesive (Ultraflexing)

The Sunscreen Ultraflex Sealant System is a very strong flexible system designed specifically to overcome the problem of the glass being removed from the frame when subjected to aggressive force from extreme weather, crime or vandalism.

A specially formulated adhesive is applied to the edge of the film, glass and frame. This amazing adhesive looks similar to a slightly thicker bead of standard window silicone. The glass & film is bonded onto the frame, so that even if the glass is broken when extra force is applied. Eg kicking, bashing or pulling. The unit remains in place.

Impact Protection Profile

The 3M Impact Protection Profile uses an ingenious system that includes a flexible, gasket-style attachment, incorporating 3M VHB tape to lock the film and glass to the frame. The Impact Protection Profile provides the same benefits as the Impact Protection Adhesive, plus it offers a clean, factory-finished appearance to the window.

The 3M VHB tape used in the 3M impact Performance Profile (IPP) is a high performance tape that utilizes a very strong pressure-sensitive adhesive and caters to the most demanding applications. For example 3M VHB tape has been used for architectural impact at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, holding up heavy, mirrored ceiling panels. This same tape also replaces rivets in panels on trucks.

Level 1: 3M Ultra Safety and Security Window Films - helps hold shards of glass together, creating a barrier that would have been easily breached. This reduces the chance of injury or property damage from broken glass due to accidental impact, severe weather or vandalism.

Level 2: 3M Ultra Safety and Security Window Film plus Impact Protection Adhesive provides all the benefits of Level 1 plus creates a stronger barrier to help keep unwanted elements out (including water and debris from severe weather, smash and grab attempts of would-be intruders and flying glass due to bomb blasts).

Level 3: 3M Ultra Safety and Security Window Film plus 3M Impact Protection Profile. The Impact Protection Profile provides the same benefits as the Impact Protection Adhesive, plus it lends a clean, finished appearance to the window.
