Water Park Porous Stone Creek Bed by StoneSet

On behalf of Scentre Group, StoneSet has been used on multiple Westfield Shopping Centres including Tea Tree Plaza in Modbury SA, car park surrounds at Westfield Kotara NSW, a landscaping feature, and now a unique water play feature at Coomera QLD.

This unique installation titled "the backyard" is essentially a park within a Shopping Centre with public BBQ facilities, children's play area, hammocks, and children's play facilities.

StoneSet was used for a unique application to create an incongruous 'dry transition' between the water pumps and the pond area. This allowed water to flow 'underground' from one area to another. Technically the application involves the stone and resin being permanently submerged in water, which was a consideration at the design phase.

Thankfully StoneSet resin is not degraded by water or chemicals (such as chlorine) found in these public fountains. The application is similar to many pool surrounds we have installed over the last decade.
