Company Profile

In 1931, when Arthur Hill met up with Mr Hazelwood who had a small timber yard in Dodd Street, South Melbourne, they decided to form a partnership and Hazelwood & Hill was created.

Originally specialising in furniture timber and the machining and moulding of timbers, Hazelwood & Hill became a key supplier to all the theatre workshops in town, and later supplied timber for the sets used in the rapidly growing television industry.

We were extremely proud to be awarded the City of Whitehorse 2010 Business of the Year.

Now in our 92nd year in business, a wonderful achievement for any business, Hazelwood & Hill is focused on providing good quality timber and the latest products with the highest level of personal service – a philosophy that has allowed the company to satisfy the ever-changing demands of the modern marketplace.
