Stormwater Drainage for Port of Brisbane from ACO

Hutchison Port Holdings recently opened a new container terminal at the Port of Brisbane.

Ports provide the most punishing environments for drainage systems. Busy maritime operations involve the movement of very heavy vehicles as they load and unload containers. Their repetitive nature imposes severe stresses on flat apron areas that are difficult to drain.

ACO's monolithic drainage system, with built in 0.5% slope, provided an efficient means of managing the stormwater at Hutchison Ports Container Terminal. Its robust single piece construction also removed concerns of components vibrating loose when frequently trafficked.
