Bridge Stormwater Drainage with Anti-Slip Grates from ACO![]() Bennelong Bridge, Homebush Bay, NSW Known originally as Homebush Bay Bridge, it was named Bennelong Bridge after the historic indigenous river resident Bennelong. A 330m long structure spanning across Homebush Bay between Rhodes and Wentworth Point, its Sydney's first designated T-Way bridge to exclusively carry State Transit Authority buses, cyclists, pedestrians, and emergency vehicles. Project Design Brief Designers required effective drainage to stop water running off from the bridge on to Gauthorpe Street, on the Rhodes side and Footbridge Boulevard, on the Wentworth Point side. A key aspect of the drainage design was to stop road debris from entering the stormwater system and to ensure that the grate type was safe for pedestrians and cyclists. ACO's Solution
