Acoustic Solutions for Supermarkets from Atkar

Several new Supermarket developments throughout Victoria required a visually stunning, high impact acoustic solution to mitigate noise associated with busy shoppers in hard surface environments. Working closely with Peter Harvey architects, Atkar developed an economical and highly effective, decorative acoustic ceiling system for several Victorian store locations.

Au.diSlat was installed in long lengths in IGA North Melbourne, IGA Glengala and Brunswick Convenience Store to create a streamlined visual flow to ceilings with added warmth while significantly reducing unwanted reverberation. Alternatively, Au.diTile in IGA Caroline Springs reduces reverberation above fresh food with a warm timber finish that complements the produce.

Atkar also designed and constructed vibrant red Au.diPanel baffle's in the same store to achieve a visually dynamic result, complimented by its ability to effectively reduce ambient noise levels in this bustling environment.

Au.diLux ceiling panels combined with Atkar's integrated Acoustic Backing were used to substantially cut down reverberation in the IGA Point Cook store and provide a stylish and refreshing retail atmosphere
