PowerDrain S200K with Slotted Iron Grates from ACO

Esmonde Road - Takapuna

Esmonde Road in Takapuna, New Zealand has had a history of flooding in some sections. A high road crown and insufficient drainage along the gutters being the main reasons. In some cases, runoff would be spilling into nearby streets and threatening retail outlets.

Designers engaged ACO for a solution. An important criterion was the proven use of ACO products in similar applications. ACO was able to provide documentation of products used in roads, worldwide, for over 30 years.

ACO's PowerDrain, comprising heavy duty anti-shunt boltless locking grates, was specified as a substitute to traditional side inlet pits to ensure surface water is captured effectively.
