Ingress Protection for Concrete Cooling Towers with RadconMPX lTAQUI BRAZIL - SALT WATER TANKS
SITE DETAILS This thermoelectric power plant is located in Sao Luiz, north east Brazil. The plant utilises seawater in its large concrete cooling towers. These towers are subject to enormous pressure from the physical lode of the water, along with the possibility of ingress of chloride, and other chemicals, from the plant. Radcon Formula #7 was selected due to the 100% capability to effect water tight tanks, along with the capability to prevent ingress from any harmful chemicals, particularly chloride. Many countries are now using Radcon Formula #7 due to its proven capability to provide 100% protection concrete and reinforcement, against the penetration of these aggressive corrosive agents. The MPX Itaqui group appreciates the advantages of Radcon Formula #7, as it provides ease of application and high levels of protection in a hot and humid climate and ensures very low maintenance of the tanks
