Australia's first website dedicated to pedestrian safe pavement drainage design

ACO has launched a new website highlighting their extensive range of pedestrian safe grates at https://heelsafe.com.au/

ACO believes that effective stormwater management is required for a long lasting pavement and foot friendly grates are necessary for pedestrian safety. ACO also believes that the slot size in grates in surface trench drains should be kept to a minimum without compromising surface water drainage. ACO Heelsafe® Anti-Slip grates are load rated to AS 3996 and are slip rated to AS 4586, they are designed to resists the penetration of a 10mm heel and are compliant to AS 1428 for wheelchairs, walking canes and bicycle tyres.

ACO has an extensive range of pedestrian friendly grates available in a variety of durable materials including cast iron, composites, stainless steel and galvanised steel. The grates are designed to withstand trucks, cars and trolleys. There is an ACO grate suitable for any external application.
