Data Centre Rigid Access Floors from ASP Access Floors

ASP Access Floor's Steel Cementitious HPL Rigid Grid System was specified to create the floor in the Telstra data centre and switch room in Clayton, Victoria. With a 11kN loading at 950mm FFH, this industrial-grade rigid access floor facilitates ease of moving switchboards and UPS units during construction and over the life of the data centre. Built by Lend Lease with a total size of 2,000m², the project took 6 months to complete and was finished in December 2010.

The data centre project required specially designed ASP products such as air grilles that with 100% damper shut off. In addition, Telstra's earthing demanded a smooth, continuous connection from the right panel through to the pedestal base. Because of the large number of switchboards to be installed, ASP provided 1200mm and perimeter stringers for the multitude of cuts supporting the switchboards.
